As a blogger, your phone will quickly become your BEST FRIEND! It’s an easy tool which allows you to edit your blog photos, schedule posts and promote them in just a few simple clicks, what could be better ay? I thought today I would share with you some of my fav apps to help my blog:

There are plenty of this kind of apps out there but ‘Buffer’ is my preferred choice, it allows you to schedule tweets and Instagram posts ahead of time, even months in advance. This means if you’re having a busy day and y’know you won’t have time to post on social media you can still keep your sites active! This app is literally a lifesaver for when I’m at work, family gatherings or just any other event which is taking up my time.

THE KEY TO A FAB INSTAGRAM FEED! (even though mine could have a little more sparkle to it) The app is designed for you to schedule Instagram pictures however that’s not what I use it for, I use it to see if my new picture will fit into my feed. Basically, once you’ve scheduled your picture ‘Later’ enables you to preview what the image would look like in your feed; you can see if it’s too light/dark for your theme or if you just have too many selfies in a row!

I’m sure you know one of the best ways to get traffic to your blog is social media, the best ones for me are Twitter and Instagram. The app ‘INSTA REPORT’ allows you to keep track of when you are gaining and losing followers, for example; if you don’t post anything for 3 days and you lose 40 followers, you would know that you need to make sure you’re posting more regularly. The app also provides stats such as average likes per picture and video which can be interesting to view every now and then.

I’ve had a Bloglovin account since I started my blog but I never used it much until I got my new phone and downloaded the app. I LOVE LOVE BLOGLOVIN NOW! It makes it so much easier to catch up with all your fav bloggers, especially if they just a different platform to you to host their blog, ie: I use WordPress for my blog and Bloglovin makes it super easy to get updates from ‘Blogger’ Bloggers. It’s also a great way to come across new bloggers when you follow someone on Bloglovin the site suggests other blogs you may like, what a fab feature! You find most rad blogs to read and other bloggers gain readers, it’s a win-win situation!

This one is a little bit of a cheat as it’s a website, not an app but I LOVE IT SO MUCH that I thought I had to include it. This is the site I use to edit the majority of my blog pictures, all I do is turn up the exposure (by about 40) and maybe turn the brightness up a little, depending on how the images are looking. I know my images aren’t the best but this site makes my images look 100 times better than just using natural lighting!!

There are plenty of other apps I use on a daily basis such as all my social media’s, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and all that lot. (these are linked in my sidebar if you fancy checking them out)

I’d love to hear what apps you love using for your blog, I’m always after need ones to try out!

Bryony xx

Will look into the other apps, but I hardly use bloglovin’ on my laptop maybe it’d be better on my phone.

  4. March 9, 2017 / 6:11 pm

Buffer and Later are exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve found similar apps but everything cost money; unfortunately, I don’t have the financial flexibility to purchase a monthly subscription so these are PERFECT.

Thank you for sharing, really useful post.

I love Buffer and Bloglovin but I’ve never heard about instareport. Sounds like a very useful app.

  20. March 12, 2017 / 8:17 pm

Buffer is such a life saver! Although I do forget to use it, or just get lazy, I can really see the difference in my stats when I remember to use it! Later sounds like something I need to look into – I hate uploading an Insta to then see it doesn’t match the theme I’m trying to make! Very helpful post!
