march favs

It only ever feels like a few days between each time I sit down to write my monthly favourites post, this year really is just whizzing past my eyes. I read online the other day that’s it’s 36 weeks until CHRISTMAS, we haven’t had our summer yet I’m not ready to start thinking about the festive period again, it’s too soon. I mean we’ve only just got our lighter evenings, which I’m LOVING, I can take my dog for a walk at half six and not be freezing cold and a little scared in the dark, BRILLIANT! anyway without chatting away too much here’s what I’ve LOVED this month:

If you’ve read my previous post about ‘feeling confident with makeup’ you’ll know I’ve had VERY dry skin recently, that’s not normally me. I wouldn’t say that Nivea has cured my dry skin but it has certainly moisturised it enough to prevent it being too sore, I try to applying this every morning and evening now in an attempt to look after my skin a bit better.

if you’ve been following me on twitter you may have seen me moaning about my extremely dry and sore lips this month, I never normally have an issue with this hence the fact I don’t have a lot of lip balms lying around. I got so fed up of my lips cracking that I set out to find the best lip balm ever, first up I tried the Rimmel London one which comes in a white tube like a lipstick. It moisturised my lips a little but I felt like I’d need to keep applying it every 10 minutes to get the result I wanted, not ideal. I then came across ‘Carmex’ whilst shopping in Primark, I’ve heard any good things about it before but never tried it. OH MY, IT WAS £2 AND A LIFESAVER! I applied this fairly often for about 4 days and then my lips were back to a good condition, I’ve now got into a routine of applying Carmex before I put on a lipstick and after I take it off, EVERY TIME! It’s so worth it!!!

I got a mini of the shade ‘Lusty Rose’ in my Birchbox at the beginning of the month and it’s been on my lips most days since. I just love how CREAMY it is on your lips, it doesn’t dry them out at all which was perfect with my super dry lips crisis this month!

This is essentially a cheaper version of a Fitbit that I purchased off Amazon for roughly £16. The device tracks how many steps you do in a day, how many kilometres you’ve walked, your heart rate ‘beats per minute’ and tells you the time, pretty much a fancy fitness watch. I’m also able to connect the band up to an app on my phone which tells me how many calories I’ve burnt every day, how many hours sleep I’ve had in the night, whether it was a light or deep sleep and the number of times you woke up in the night. I don’t think it’s left my wrist for more than an hour (which is roughly how long it takes to charge) since I’ve bought it, LOVE IT!

TOPSHOP JEANS OUT THE WINDOW, THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED!! Throughout my teens, I’ve bought several (at least 20) pairs of Topshop Joni jeans that have faded to grey after 3 washes, which is ridiculous at the price of £45! I can’t afford to keep that up. I’d been hearing that Primark have their jean game pretty decent at the moment so I wanted to try a pair out, they could be the best fitting jeans I’ve EVER HAD, for £8, AMAZING! I’ve only washed mine once so far and they’re still jet black, of course, they could potentially fade in future washes but I don’t mind that so much at a cheaper price.

That day-day band sounds pretty cool! My big love has been my Lifeproof case for my iPhone – I can take it anywhere, anytime with no worries because its completely waterproof (I used to drown all my phones). I even chill out in the bath now, phone in hand, knowing that I am good if I were to happen to drop it! Nothing like working from the bath! hahaha

I’ve been wanting a fitbit, but I’m going to look into the cheaper options since it’s working well for you. I keep hearing great things about Primark lately too. It seems like they’ve been making some really nice quality stuff. I have to check it out again!

  4. Omg someone else who loves the Primark jeans!! They’re amazing and fade soooo much less than the Topshop ones! xx

I could not agree more about the topshop jeans, they are such a waste of money because the quality is really bad.. I need to give a try for Primark jeans 😍😍 Sadly we don’t have Primark here in Finland so it’s little bit harder to get them hehe!! x

  6. Oh I swear my Carmex too, so good for sore dry lips! Primark high waisted jeans are also one of my faves. The Nivea cream sounds amazing!

Omg yass girl! Love this post! I’ve also recently purchased some black high waisted jeans from Primark and it’s such a bargain. Definitely agree how other places offer the same but it’s expensive but Primark is one of my fave places to go for jeans! x
