I’m sure you’ll agree that fitting in blogging, full-time work, sleep and socializing is a lot of hard work and requires pretty decent time management. It’s something I’m trying to work on so even when life gets a little busy I can still send out regular posts, YAY! I work from 8:30 to 5:30 ish on a regular day as a Trainee Outdoor Instructor, so my days consist of running activities from high ropes, climbing to kayaking and mountain biking. In this post, I’ll give you a little run-down on how I’m working my ass off and trying to succeed at fitting everything in.
This was the last day of my week’s holiday, well 9 days to be exact. I decided to do something a little more excited than a lazy day today, my boyfriend and I got up early and headed to the Nene Whitewater centre in Bedford, my FIRST EVER time on moving water in a kayak. I was a lil (very very) nervous to say the least. To give you a little idea what the course looked like, the water was moving fairly fast over several drops a bit like a mini waterfall, the idea is to represent natural features in a moving river. Okay, enough of the geography Bry! Anyway, I loved the course despite being nervous to start with, I’m a girl who loves a good old waterpark so I just think of it as another one of those. I got a cheeky Maccies on the way back and got home around 7:30, from this time onwards I popped on X-factor and got my blog writing head on! I have quite a few ideas’s currently so I was just tying off a few loose edges with posts so they’re ready to go out.
I started work at 9 this morning, it was a little shock of the system after my time off so a few cuppa teas were needed to get me started. I spent around 45 minutes of my lunch break doing some blog planning and writing, I also managed to make a to-do list of blog-related bits that need to be done so I can crack on in the evening. I finished work at 5:30, had some dinner and had a chilled evening. This evening I was wasn’t feeling up to doing any blog prep, which is okay, sometimes it’s better not to push yourself.
I started work today at 8:30, I was doing my start windsurfing course, which is essentially a lot of swimming whilst you’re learning what you’re doing. I spent around 30 minutes of my lunch break typing up the previous days for this post, that way I wouldn’t have to worry about remember exactly when I did things at the end of the week. My evening was spent finishing off a couple of posts and I even uploaded a new post too!
Today I spent roughly 30 minutes of my lunch break taking approx 150 photos, all in order to get the perfect flay-lay for one blog post. I’m not even sure if I’m happy enough with any of the pictures to use them in a post, we’ll see. I was working this evening until around 9pm so I wasn’t able to get any blog related bits done.
I must say my lunch break today was very very productive, I worked out a blogging schedule which included me posting twice a week up until December, then I’ll attempt blogmas. I’ve worked out after finishing off a couple more posts and a few more pictures I’ll have all my posts up until blogmas day 4 sorted. This should enable me to start working on blogmas pretty early, fingers crossed I succeed. I finished work at 3:30 today, I then spent around 2 hours typing up a new post that’s make up related and I took a few swatch pics for it too!
I spent my whole afternoon taking the best of 200 flat lays and ended up with 2 that I’m happy enough with to use, flat lay tips, please! This evening I went out to see some friends I hadn’t seen in a while where we had a lovely catch up.
Today was my (very very) lazy day of the week, I’ll leave you to imagine what time I woke up. You might have realized that recently I’ve created myself a blogging schedule where I post every Wednesday and Saturday, meaning today was NEW POST day. I posted my autumnal playlist, today was a FANTASTIC day for my blog I reached 500 followers and got my highest ever blog views in a day of 104, YAY!
I’d love to know how you keep up with blogging as well as a full-time job, I’m always looking for as many tips as I can get!
