I was lucky enough to receive this gorgeous ‘ABH’ lipstick set as a Christmas present from my parents. I was so over excited when I opened it, I was like a child receiving a new Disney plush. (I still get excited about that too, who doesn’t?)

The set contains 6 lipsticks in the shades ‘American Doll which is a bright red, aka the most christmassy colour around. ‘Requiem’ which is a dark blue, ‘Currant’ a deep pink, ‘Stripped’ the most pale nude in the set, ‘Toast’ a nude with a hint of brown and finally ‘Dazed’ a deep pinky-red.

I adore the variety of colours that are provided in this set, there really is something for every occasion, from day to day to a night out. I’m also really impressed that Anastasia Beverly Hills added a more daring colour of dark blue, this is because it’s not a colour I would ever go out and purchase by itself. I mean at it’s usually £20 per lipstick i’d be scared it wouldn’t suit me but I love it.

Talking about the price of a single ABH lipstick, I believe one of the most impressive things about this set has to be the cost, you’d imagine it to be at least £70 right? It’s only £34, I was shocked. You get £120 worth of liquid lipsticks for the price of one and a half. Bargain!

I found all of the liquid lipsticks came in a pretty thick consistency, this makes the application even easier as it enables you to do one coat and you’re ready to go. The formula dries on your lips in less than 30 seconds, this is always super useful as you don’t want it wearing off on your brand new white jumper.

The ABH lipstick stays on your lips for the majority of the day unless you’re drinking a lot of tea, water, alchopops etc. It stays on so well to the point where I have to remove it with a make-up wipe at the end of the day when i’m taking the rest of my face off, top points for that!

Here’s the thing, I would for sure purchase them in a set for the reduced price however I think I would avoid them as single lipsticks priced at £20. The only reason is I personally believe that’s a lot to play for a single lipstick, I do every now and then but it’s a special treat of one I really really want.

However, if you’re happy with spending that amount then I would totally recommend them. There really isn’t a single flaw with them, they’re stunning, long lasting liquid lipsticks that’ll also last a long time in your make-up bag!

I haven’t tried any ABH liquid lipsticks before, I’ve always thought about getting some but I have constantly been put off due to the price. These shades are truly beautiful though and ‘toast’ sounds like a shade that I would love. I need to look out this year for some gift sets like this one, they’re 100% worth the money!

Did you think that the formula was drying at all? I’m impressed that it stayed on for the entire day though, definite plus!

I have never tried any of the Anastasia beverly hills product let alone their liquid lipsticks. £20 for a single lipstick sounds quite a lot so not sure i’d buy it either. xx corinne

Requiem sounds like a lovely shade, and a nice blue from what I can in the image! So lucky to get such an awesome present for Christmas!! I’ve not yet tried any of their products, but these look like something good to start with 🙂 Tania Michele xx
