Please ignore the dust on my phone and the extremely white background (thank you)
To make up for the plain photo I’ve given it a name, which is ‘the afternoon which made me want to give up taking flat-lays forever because the lighting sucked and nothing came out to the quality I liked’. lol.
We all have our bad photo days, on which we end up looking up a new lens and then realising we can’t afford them.
Anyway, here are 5 things I’ve been loving this spring:
I purchased my first ever pair of dungarees (since I was a little child) back in March and ever since I’ve been well and truly living in them.
They allow me to feel more dressed up than wearing jeans and a tee but I don’t have to go as far as wearing a dress, it’s a perfect in-between and I love them. Also, I feel like Poppy Deyes, especially when I rock them with a black and white stripey tee.
Too Faced Queen B Liquid Lipstick
You may have realised that I’ve featured this lipstick in quite a few blog photo’s this year, however, I’m yet to admit how utterly obsessed with it I am.
The best way I can describe the shade of it would be it’s the closest colour to lilac without actually being lilac itself, it’s still got a lil suttle pink hint behind it. It goes with every single makeup look I do (that could just be because I’m not inventive enough).
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil (04 Rose)
This is my new ultimate perfect nude that I just can’t get enough of. Even though it’s only a lip pencil I’ve been filling in all of my lips with it and wearing it as a lipstick as in my opinion it tops MAC’s, Velvet Teddy.
The Chainsmokers – Everybody Hates Me/ Clean Bandit – I Miss You
I don’t normally get excited about the classic songs that are repeated 10 times a day on Radio 1, but these two have really taken my fancy.
Jennifer Niven Books
I just finished her book called ‘All The Bright Places’, I managed to read the whole thing in 4 days as I just didn’t want to put it down. If that isn’t a sign that it’s an amazing book then I don’t know what is.
I’ve now started reading her second novel ‘Holding Up The Universe’ which is just as beautifully written. It’s so engaging as you’re drawn into the characters and their likability really quickly.
I’m definitely going to write a whole post talking about what I thought about her books after I’ve finished ‘Holding up the Universe’. If you’re looking for a book to read then anything by Jennifer is a good shout!
What are you loving at the moment?
