It’s been a chaotic month, hence why I’ve been so vacant from my blog; but I’ve achieved some things that I’m super proud of and I’m excited to share.
I FINALLY PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!
I was starting to lose hope as I had previously failed two tests due to the silly little mistakes I’d made from nerves.
Once my test was over and I’d pulled back into the test car park my examiner tried to trick me by telling me I’d failed because I was on the line on my reverse park, which I knew full well I wasn’t. At that moment I was honestly so close to bursting into tears as I really thought I’d done it. He then continued to tell me he was joking and OH MY the sigh on relief was massive; it’s not a funny joke to be playing on someone who’s already failed a few times, not cool at all.
It really was third time lucky as I only got four minors, GO ME!
It’s such an overwhelming feeling to now be able to transport myself around and not have to rely on lifts, I feel like it’s opened so many doors for me.
I BOUGHT MY FIRST CAR
I super duper really wanted a cute little Fiat 500, however, I just couldn’t stretch to spending that much on a car as I didn’t want to get a finance deal. Instead, I ended up buying a silver Nissan Micra, who I’ve named Nessie, lol.
I’m not going to lie, I did stall her about 7 times on the way home from the car dealership. I had to pull out onto a dual carriageway and then go straight onto a big scary three-lane roundabout, all before I’d got used to the biting point on the clutch. My heart was pounding, especially because I had a parent in the car with me and it was the first time they had witnessed my driving.
I’VE ACTUALLY JOINED A GYM
After thinking about joining for a few months and having a ring around a few different companies for prices, I finally found a gym that I was happy to join. It costs me £19.99 a month for access to the gym and pool whenever I want and I didn’t have to pay a joining fee, which as a total utter gym newbie I thought was a bargain.
I’ve already noticed an improvement in the level of fitness as I can actually run a mile and a half on a treadmill; okay I may go to walking pace for about 30 seconds to get my breath back but I’m still counting it!
I TURNED TWENTY ONE
Another birthday has been and gone however this one was a bloody brilliant one!
Lewiss and I got a trip away to the North Norfolk coast booked for us where we stayed in the cutest little cabin; Lew decorated it with fairy lights too so it was utterly adorable. We spent the few days going to some of our favourite places in the area which included, getting seaside fish and chips, eating way too much ice cream, putting way too many 20p’s in the grab machines which I didn’t win on, seeing the new Christopher Robin movie and hunting the odd few pokemon.
I was totally spoilt with all the lovely gifts I received too, one being a Nintendo Switch, which now, by the way, I am totally addicted to Zelda (one of the best games!)
Despite being rather busy at the moment I am going to make a bigger effort to post on the blog more regularly and it’s been something which I haven’t been prioritising enough recently.
you’ll see more of me soon
