I had previously tried a number of different purple shampoo’s such as matrix and ‘so silver’, I would leave them on for roughly half an hour and then wash them off and honestly I didn’t feel like I could notice much difference in my hair at all. The difference was so minimal I couldn’t justify the time that I spent sitting around with shampoo on my head and the money I was spending on this slightly more expensive product.
I wanted to give up on purple shampoo products altogether as I was adamant they didn’t make a difference to my hair.
This was until last weekend when I was walking through boots and it caught my eye that Bleach London do Silver shampoo products and I thought y’know I might as well give this one a try I have nothing to lose. I splashed out 13.99 on the shampoo and conditioner, I had my fingers crossed that this would be the one that worked for me.
I applied the shampoo onto my hair whilst it was dry and left it on for 35 minuties(you can leave it for longer or for a shorter amount of time, it’s totally up to you); it comes out in a rather thick consistency which is very very handy as it stops the shampoo dripping everywhere. This stuff stains/ requires a very good scrubbing to get off so I wouldn’t recommend getting it on your favourite dressing gown/hallway carpet, that’s not a move you want to make. I would also recommend wearing gloves during the application as it’s now the day after I applied the shampoo and my hands still have a purple tint to them, snazzy if you’re going for a mermaid look but I’m really not.
It was like I could notice the shampoo making the slightest difference to my hair whilst it was on, I WAS SUPER EXCITED!
I continued to wash it out after 35 minutes and followed with the Bleach London silver conditioner, oh blimey did this make my hair feel super duper soft. The softness seriously compares to how your hair feels when you leave the hairdressers after being pampered. LOVE IT
THE OUTCOME OF MY HAIR:
Here’s the big question, did it work? did it manage to tone my hair from a yellow blonde to a more subtle ashy blonde colour? yes, yes, oh yes it did!
My hair started out being very blonde, it’d just been bleached at the hairdressers and the toner they had applied had faded. After the first use of the shampoo it had dulled the colour down a massive amount, I even had a silver streak near the front on my fringe which was subtle but super cute. After the second usage, my hair was very much an ashy blonde, I had achieved the look I was after in just two washes and now all I need to do is maintain it by using the shampoo every now and then. I couldn’t have asked for any better results, I’ve finally found a toner shampoo that works for me.
WOULD I BUY AGAIN?
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FOR SURE YASS!
This product is going to become a holy grail that I use to tone my hair with once a week, if not more. I honestly could not recommend it enough, it makes such a difference to your hair for such a small cost, it’s a brilliant product that is worth a try if you’re after an ashy blonde tone.
What did you think of the ‘Bleach London’ purple shampoo and conditioner?
