MY RESULTS AFTER USING PINTEREST FOR A MONTH

I am by far no claimed Pinterest expert, just a normal blogger who occasionally makes a pin and gets one or two referrals from the site.

This March I set myself the goal of making a couple of pins daily and pinning them to a variety of boards to try and increase my traffic.

This is how my journey went:

Day 2

It was my second day of trying to gain views from Pinterest, I wasn’t expecting any results at this point as I’d only made around 4 pins. Then from the time I went to put my washing from the machine to the tumble dryer I had gained 40 views, all referred from Pinterest. This was my EUREKA moment of I’m not giving up on this platform, maybe I really can promote my blog on this site.

Day 3 & 4 and 5

I was trying to upload around 7 pins every evening, this was getting me roughly 2/4 referrals to my blog from Pinterest a day.

End of week one

I had managed to get 79 referrals from Pinterest which was massively up from 5 the previous week. I didn’t think I would see any difference from using Pinterest so I was shocked to be seeing some results so soon.

Week 2

I had only gone and pretty much doubled my referrals from the last week, I was up to 142. I was still trying to make 7+ pins per day and I was manually pinning these to 20+ boards each.

Week 3

In week three things were sitting at pretty much the same point as the previous week with 145 referrals to my site. All I wanted was to keep this up as if I could get 145 extra referrals each week that would add up to a whopping almost 600 per month!

Week 4

This week BLEW my mind, literally.

I got 453 referrals from Pinterest, in one week, I couldn’t believe that Pinterest could do this. I’d heard that other bloggers had success with the site but I never thought it would help me, but it has.

March Overview

The overall number of referrals I received in March from Pinterest was 840 which is up 839 from 1 referral the previous month.

Now let me tell you, I’m still no pro at Pinterest, I haven’t taken a course or spent any money doing this. All it took was for me to dedicate a little bit of my time every day to creating pins on canva and manually pinning. If I can do this then so can you, my top tip is to not give up, keep using Pinterest and you will get there!

I also have a blog post on 44 of the best Pinterest group boards to add your pins.

Does Pinterest work for you?

These are some incredible stats! I’ve been so lucky with Pinterest in the last few days I’ve had over 5,000 referrals. I’ve only been using it for the last month also, thanks for sharing x

Those results are fantastic! I’ve been using Pinterest on and off for a while now, but recently I’ve been trying to commit myself a little more to the app. I hope I can achieve similar results.

I’ve been really, really, really working on my Pinterest at the moment too. It’s annoying and so time consuming but the results some people see are staggering! This month I’ve had 117 views from Pinterest so far, which is pretty good for me! I think over the course of a month, my highest has been about 500 views. So we’re getting there! xxx

It is great that you kept up with Pinterest for a week! Seeing growth always feels great – especially when Pinterest shows numbers and everything. I’ve started to join a ton of Pinterest groups. It helps a lot! Keep it up!

This is great!! I’ve been working on Pinterest since around last September (with a break or two) and it really is a great platform for traffic growth. It’s been my second largest referrer behind Google the last two months so it seems like my efforts are finally starting to pay off. I’m still playing around with different pin styles and tags to see what works best though x

I feel like I’m having the worst luck with pinterest right now. I have no clue what’s going on. My monthly views to have lowered significantly and my pins aren’t getting much attention, but I’ll keep working!
